I have been looking forward to showing you the brilliant pictures that photographer Eivind Røhne took of the gorgeous model Ammal Ahmed Haj Mohamed, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman and silver earrings by Kaja Gjedebo Design, wearing Maimi designed for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, at Galleri Wûrth back in June. The sweater is knitted in their gorgeous Sol lambswool yarn and kits will soon be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk‘s website. The individual pattern in both English and Norwegian will be released very soon in my Ravelry Store, as the test knit is over.

I decided to style the pullover with leather trousers and a large silk & wool scarf around  Ammal’s hair. The colours in the scarf were perfect with the pullover. Ammal tied the scarf on herself with Hinna’s help at the back, tucking in the long fringes. I was just explaining the bandage style around her head, I wanted… It was a style that Ammal had not tried before, but one that she definitely would continue to use, she admitted.

The sweater is worked bottom up in parts and seamed. Only the neckband is worked in the round. Ammal is standing at the top of the staircase down to the exhibition room at Galleri Würth, as the heavy rain stopped us from photographing outdoors as I had planned.

Ammal is wearing one of the silver earrings designed by Kaja Gjedebo Design that I actually own. I like how they reflect the shapes of the cables. I used the same cables in my new Emika design, and the pullover looked fabulous under it, so you will see more photos of Maimi soon. I am ever so happy with these magnificent photos, so I want to thank my wonderful team for all their hard work!
