The last pattern to be released in 2023, was Raiden made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk in their Ask yarn. The test knit came to an end and the English pattern is now available in my Ravelry Store, while the Norwegian will be added shortly. Yarn kits are available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The pullover, worn by Emmalin Williams with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, was brilliantly photographed by Eivind Røhne at Galleri Würth outside of Oslo, back in June.
Named Raiden Japanese for lightening is this V-neck A-line pullover with cables at the center with bright contrast color neck fill. The cables are divided in two for the V-neck and continues across the shoulders as part of the neckband. The back and sleeves are all knitted in stockinette stitch to allow the cables to shine. Raiden is knitted, in pieces for the ultimate fit, in the airy Norwegian combed wool yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.

Needles: 3.5 mm/US 4 straight needle.
3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle (80 cm/32” for neckband).
Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers (removable), cable needle, stitch holders and yarn needle.
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st using 3.5 mm/US 4 needle measures 10 cm/4” square after blocking.
19-st Cable measures about 5 cm/2” across after blocking.
Notes: The pullover is worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom and up. The cable on the front is divided and knitted separately across the shoulder to the center of the back neck, as a neckband.
