The next set of photos I will show you from our photoshoot at Galleri Würth back in June is of the tunic Genki and the scarf Boann, both knitted in the divine Neighborhood Fiber Co. Capital Luxury Sport. I knew the red-orange shade would look amazing on model Emmalin Williams, especially with a black sunhat to add panache. Photographer Eivind Røhne loved the hat and would not allow me to take it off until we photographed the Boann scarf. I chose to style Genki with a darker wine red Wolford skirt, while Emmalin picked the red shoes to go with it. Make-up & hair stylist Hina Suleman suggested loose hair with curls would look best with the hat and was obviously right. I just loved the look!I wanted to make sure we photographed the set together, but also the Boann scarf on its own, as the two designs will be sold as two patterns. Hence I chose a black coat to be worn over the tunic showing part of the bell sleeves, but also how the scarf can be worn on its own.Emmalin is wearing Genki in size 2 (92 cm/36.25″ bust circumference) with a 9 cm/3.5 inches positive ease. I have graded the tunic in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 84 to 164 cm/33 to 64.5 inches. While the scarf in one size, but can easily be adjusted by adding or removing pattern repeats.Both designs are knitted using a 3.25 mm/US 5 needle with a 24 stitches and 32 rows in stockinette stitch gauge measuring 10 cm/4″ square.The tunic is worked in pieces and seamed for the best possible fit on the body. I have worked the tuck that divides the patterns with two circular needles held together, where one is used as a holder so that you do not need to pick up stitches to close it when it is completed.The neckband is worked in the round, while the rest of Genki is worked flat.I wanted to make sure we photographed the set together, but also the Boann scarf on its own, as the two designs will be sold as two patterns. Hence I chose a black coat to be worn over the tunic showing part of the bell sleeves, but also how the scarf can be worn on its own.Boann can also be folded into a huge collar for Genki, see the photo above. Next, I will show you a brilliant photo that Michael took where he framed Emmalin in the window frame. You can see the strong sunshine outside the screen that Eivind used as a ceiling for Emmalin so that she could be in the shadow – see the top of the photo below.The yarn was generously donated by Neighborhood Fiber Co. and I had help from one of my patrons to ship it from the US to me in Norway. Unfortunately the chosen hand dyed colour Bromo has been discontinued, but you can still find it under last-call on the Neighborhood Fiber Co. website or replace it with a new very similar orange-red shade called Abell. The test knit is coming to an end and both patterns will be released in both English and Norwegian on Ravelry on the 19th of October.
