I am excited to show you two more new designs; the jacket Moia and the matching scarf Benete, both knitted in the stunning Får by Woolfolk using a 4.5 mm/US 7 needle. You will be surprised to hear that I have made this myself in the sample size S with a bust circumference of 106 cm/41.75″ and a 19 stitches and 28 rows gauge in stockinette stitch. Both designs were professionally photographed back in June.
The Moia design started as a submission to Woolfolk for their Winter 2021 to Fall 2022 various collections, but it did not fit in hence I asked for yarn support instead. The Benete design began its life as I had wanted a wider cable collar than the one I made. As I had some spare skeins, I requested another 6 to make sure I could knit a long scarf to go with it.
Michael photographed me wearing the sample back in March first in our back garden, then in our front garden.
The slightly oversized jacket is straight worked in pieces and seamed at the end. The bottom has a hem and I made the belt extra long for decoration. Above you see Moia worn together with the Benete scarf.
I also wanted to show the scarf worn around the neck. I will end with a progress photo of the back with one of the sleeves, where you can see the gorgeous chainette yarn by Woolfolk up close. The patterns will be test knitted beginning on January 9th with pattern releases on March 4th. But before then I will show you how amazing they looked on model Emmalin Williams.
