Maimi Knitted by Sylke Feldhusen

Let me introduce you to another of my skilled test knitters; Sylke Feldhusen, aka Lysstreif on Ravelry, and share her stunning Maimi pullover. Sylke chose size 3 and Sandnes Garn Tweed Recycled in pink. On her project page she writes: “Finally a new test for Linda Marveng, a designer with so many stunning designs. It was a pleasure to test this pattern.” Thank you so much for the compliment, Sylke!

She continues: “This sweater was love at the first sight, and I’m very happy with the finished product and how it fits me. It’s worked flat, with cables, bottom-up and seamed. All is explained, with links to the techniques needed.” I am very thrilled to hear that!

Sylke worked it with the recommended needle sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 and 3.5 mm/US 4 and with the gauge of 21 stitches and 30 rows in stockinette stitch using a 3.5 mm/US 4 measuring 10 cm/4 inches square after blocking.

I loved her note on the cables; “The cables might look more difficult than they are. You just need to get in the flow, and all will work out fine.” Thank you for these words and for test knitting for me! I think the pullover looks stunning on Sylke, paired with her pink trousers!

The pattern is available in English, German, Danish and Norwegian on Ravelry in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 93 to 164 cm/36.5 to 64.5 inches, while yarn kits are available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
