Arine Knitted by Jan Zemba

Take a look at these wonderful photos of test knitter Jan Zemba – aka jzemba on Ravelry – wearing her Arine, called “What Comes Next – test knit!”, made in size 4 in Posh Yarn Clara DK! The celebratory pose was to honour the pattern name: Arine – Japanese for one who is full of joy. Jan wrote that it kept her warm even in their -12 degrees Celsius/10 degrees Fahrenheit in Vermont, US. I just love her stunning version!

The given gauge in the pattern is 19 stitches and 28 rows in Stockinette stitch using 4.5 mm/US 7 needle measures 10 cm/4 inches square after blocking, while Jan had 20 stitches using a 3.75 mm/US 5 needle.

On her project page, Jan writes: “This is genuinely a lovely knit and I really recommend the pattern to anyone wanting to dive into Linda’s designs. I knit the body mostly in the round (the sleeves as well) and only had to fit in the sleeve caps and the shoulder seams. Recommend Linda’s crochet method for easy seaming.” Thank you so much, Jan!

The Arine pattern is available in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 93 to 164 cm/36.5 to 64.5 inches, in both English and Norwegian (German will be added soon) to download from my Ravelry store.
