The next set of photos from our photoshoot at Galleri Würth back in June, are of the gorgeous model Ammal Ahmed Haj Mohamed, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, wearing Arine. Photographer Eivind Røhne captured all these amazing photos. And yes, it is the same sample pullover I was wearing at Munich Knits.
Arine is knitted, using a 4.5 mm/US 7 needle with a 19 sts and 28 rows in St st gauge, in the divine mYak Baby Yak Medium (100% Baby Yak, 117 m/128 yds, 50 g) in Mustard. I choose to style the pullover with a long silk skirt and a silk scarf. Ammal is wearing her own earrings. The pattern is currently being test knitted in my Ravelry group and will be launched on the 30th of December.
Here is the introduction to the pattern: Arine – Japanese for one who is full of joy – is this pullover adorned with cables, framed by double seed stitch in each side. The pullover is crowned by a twisted rib neckband that ends in a tubular bind off and has set-in sleeves. Arine is worked in pieces for the ultimate fit, in the gorgeous Baby Yak Medium by mYak.
Ammal is wearing size 2 of 9 with 19 cm/7.5″ positive ease. The bust circumference is from 93 to 164 cm/36.5 to 64.5″ with an intended positive ease of 8-12 cm/3.25-4.75″.
The pullover is worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom and up, then seamed. The neckband is worked in the round, then folded in two and seamed to the WS. As usual the cables are easier to knit than the look. Thank you to my team for these stunning photos!
