You might recall that our friends Gael and Rebekah Audic visited us last year. I asked if Rebekah would model a few of my designs including the Della Vigna Pullover and Della Vigna Cowl in the old city of Fredrikstad. She did with Gael taking some stunning photographs. Well, I gifted her the set for her 60th birthday earlier this year and received even more pictures of Rebekah wearing the set, this time from their weekend away in Canada in October.
The set is knitted in the gorgeous Japanese Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo using a 3.5 mm/US 4 needle with a 20 stitches and 30 rows in Stockinette stitch measuring 10 cm/4” square after blocking, by me.
Rebekah is wearing the pullover in size 2, but I have graded it in sizes 1 to 9, with a bust circumference of 90 to 170 cm/35.5 to 67”, while the cowl is in size 1 – available in sizes 1 to 4.
Inspired by the façade of the Venetian Church San Francesco Della Vigna is this seamed pullover with waist shaping and bell sleeves. The rows of eyelets add a sculptural effect to the pullover, while its opulence is found in the wide bell sleeves, ending at the elbow. Della Vigna Pullover ends like it began in a garter stitch band crowned by an I-cord. For a large collar, wear it together with the Della Vigna Cowl.
The patterns have recently been released in English and Norwegian in my Ravelry Store. I want to thank Rebekah and Gael for these amazing photos from their weekend away!
