Photoshoot at Bøler Church: Della Vigna Pullover and Cowl

I am thrilled to show you how stunning the Della Vigna Pullover and Cowl looked on jazz singer Anette Løvtangen, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, captured by photographer Eivind Røhne at Bøler Church back in December last year. The set is knitted, by yours truly, in the gorgeous Noro Yarns, Silk Garden Sock Solo – made of 40% wool, 25% silk, 25% polyamide, 10% mohair on each 100 gram ball with 300 m/328 yds – using a 3.5 mm/US 4 needle with a 20 stitches and 30 rows in Stockinette stitch gauge measuring 10 cm/4″ square after blocking.I decided to style the Della Vigna Pullover and Cowl with a cream A-line skirt and a silk scarf. Here is my introduction to the pattern: Inspired by the façade of the Venetian Church San Francesco Della Vigna is this seamed pullover with waist shaping and bell sleeves. The rows of eyelets add a sculptural effect to the pullover, while its opulence is found in the wide bell sleeves, ending at the elbow. Della Vigna Pullover ends like it began in a garter stitch band crowned by an I-cord. For a large collar, wear it together with the Della Vigna Cowl.I also wanted to see how it looked with a summer hat for a sophisticated look. Anette is wearing size 2, with a bust circumference of 98 cm/38.5″ with 4 cm/1.5″ positive ease. I have graded the pullover in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 90 to 170 cm/35.5 to 67″. While the sample cowl is made in size 1 and graded into sizes 1 to 4.We were talking about how to show off the bell sleeves, when Anette suggested this position, which I thought was a fun idea. The pullover is worked from the bottom up in pieces and seamed. The neckband is worked in garter stitch in the round with an I-cord at the top of it made at the end. The sleeves are identical in all sizes until the completion of the bell shaping.Inspired by the façade of the Venetian Church San Francesco Della Vigna is this cowl. The rows of eyelets add a sculptural effect to the cowl. Della Vigna Pullover ends like it began in a garter stitch band crowned by an I-cord. Fold the eyelet pattern in two to make it into a double collar. Wear it together with the Della Vigna Pullover or on its own to warm you.As the cowl will be a separate pattern, I wanted to photograph that separately and choose a longer cream silk shirt to go with the skirt. The cowl is worked from the bottom and up in the round. The shaping is worked in garter stitch. The cowl is worked with a tighter round gauge, compared to the pullover as it is worked in the round. The test knit has begun in my Ravelry group, and both patterns will be launched in my Ravelry Store at the end of June.
