The time has come to show you how stunning Khayam – worn together with Laplace -looked on Model Olivia Lindtein, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, photographed by Wenche Hoel-Knai at Sentralen back in December. Named after the mathematician Omar Khayyam who worked on problems of Algebra is this long slightly oversized jacket with a cable collar and long cuffs. The remaining parts are knitted in stockinette stitch to make the cable stand out. A double belt in stockinette stitch highlights the beginning of the collar. Khayam is worked in pieces for the ultimate fit and made to be worn with the Laplace trousers as a set. Both are knitted in the Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic 5 ply with a crepe construction.

I instantly knew I wanted to photograph the set in the bar with the monumental sculpture called “Growing Gold” made in textiles by Hanne Friis on the wall and the mustard sofa as the backdrop at Sentralen in Oslo. Photographer Wenche liked my plan and had this room as her favourite to photograph in because of the windows that provided much needed daylight in December. I suggested to Make-Up & Hair Stylist Nina that Olivia had her hair up while we photographed this set. I styled it with a cream coloured silk top.

Olivia is wearing size S with a 106 cm/41.75″ bust circumference and worn with 23 cm/9″ positive ease on model who stands 167 cm/5’6″ tall. I have graded the pattern in sizes XS to 5XL with a bust circumference from 98 to 172 cm/38.5 to 67.75 in with an intended positive ease of 10-20 cm/4-8″. The Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic 5 Ply yarn is made of 100% wool on 200 gram balls with 580 meters/634 yards. The gauge is 24 sts and 34 rows gauge in st st using 3.75 mm/US 5 needle.

The set both the Khayam jacket and the Laplace pants will be test knitted in my Ravelry group beginning on the 6th of June, before the patterns will be released in both English and Norwegian.
